Deuter Kindertragen im Vergleich

Intro
All three Deuter models are suitable for children who can already sit independently and up to a body weight of 18 kg.
The carrying system fits a back length of 40 - 52 cm, which corresponds to a body height of approximately 1.65 - 1.90 m. However, the determining factor is the back length.
The child carriers from Deuter are all of high-quality craftsmanship and very comfortable for both the child and the wearer. The purchase price varies between the three models, but a higher price does not necessarily mean that one child carrier is "better" than another. Each model has its own strengths, making it particularly suitable for different requirements.
The airy Kid Comfort Air is especially good for summer temperatures. The Kid Comfort III requires a bit more space in luggage, but very small children are optimally protected in this model. In between is the Kid Comfort II as a proven classic among the child carriers.

Determining the back length
Body height and back length do not necessarily correlate: There are tall people with relatively short backs, and conversely, small people can have relatively long backs. The body height information on the individual backpacks is therefore only a guideline. The decisive criterion when choosing the backpack size is the back length.
To measure the back length, first locate the iliac crest, i.e., the upper edge of the hip bone. Then measure the spine from the height of the iliac crest to the C7 vertebra – this is the neck vertebra that slightly sticks out when you bend your head forward.
