Whether it was travelling along the coasts of Europe in a camper van on my summer holiday or cycling along the Weser at the age of 12. I always knew that I felt most at home outdoors in nature. After leaving school, I travelled for a year, discovered the world, learnt to surf and dive. But I often lacked the resources to try out more things.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit; text-align: center;">After graduating, I worked for a cargo bike hire company in Berlin. The experience inspired me to develop a similar concept for outdoor equipment. Together with Eloy, who shared a similar vision, we founded Outzip.</p>

No. 823 823 823 MVA, operates a rental service where businesses and consumers can rent equipment for mutual benefit by ordering the equipment online and having it picked up at a shop or pick-up point or delivered to their home. The service also includes a membership programme that offers benefits to those who need equipment more frequently.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">1 General</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">These terms and conditions apply to the rental and sale of goods and services from outzip.de to entrepreneurs and consumers. Together with your order, the GTC form the entire contractual basis for the purchase.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">2 Definition of the parties</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The lessor or seller is: Outzip GmbH and is hereinafter referred to as we, us, the lessor or Outzip GmbH.The lessee is: the person specified in the order as the lessee or purchaser and is hereinafter referred to as the lessee, customer, you, you, your or yours.Rental items: Tools, equipment, machinery and anything else that is rented on outzip.co.uk. Delivery form/service points means delivery or collection from a shop, kiosk or home delivery.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">3 Payment, deposit and prices</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Payment is made by Visa or Mastercard card online via our payment provider DIBS, which fulfils the strictest security requirements. The renter pays at the time of booking and the rental contract is then deemed to have been concluded.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Outzip GmbH follows standard rental practice and also reserves a deposit amount which is indicated on the order form at the time of booking. The reservation is secured if the customer returns the tool late, damages the tool or does not deliver it at all. The amount of the deposit varies depending on the selected rental tool and is specified in your order confirmation. Outzip GmbH is authorised to use the deposit to cover the rental price and other costs mentioned above and/or any recourse claims, see section 5 below.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">All prices are inclusive of VAT. The total cost of the purchase will be displayed before the order is placed and will include all costs associated with the hire or purchase. If Outzip GmbH has made errors with prices of a significant scope on the website, Outzip GmbH may unilaterally change, cancel or reject orders, even after the customer has received an order confirmation or similar. However, such errors must be corrected within a reasonable period after discovery of the error and the customer must be notified.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">4 Condition of the rental object</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Outzip GmbH undertakes to supply high quality hire items in operational condition, and Outzip GmbH has its own routines for checking and maintaining the hire items before and after hire.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">During the hire period you are responsible for any damage or loss to the hire items. You may be released from liability if the damage or loss is due to technical faults or defects. The renter is therefore obliged to check the rental item before use and to contact your company if the rental item is not in the expected condition.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">5 Damage</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Any damage, technical defects or accidents that occur during the hire period must be reported to your company immediately. We will then do our best to help the renter. Damage must be reported immediately to support@outzip.de. This also applies in the event of theft.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">If the damage was caused by misuse, intent or negligence, Outzip GmbH may use the deposit reserved in advance and, if necessary, deduct further outstanding amounts to cover the costs of repair, maintenance or replacement of the device. This also applies if the equipment is returned in a neglected or abnormally dirty condition.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">We will always endeavour to give the best advice and tips for the use of the rental item, but we are not liable for performance or for any direct or indirect damage or loss resulting from the use of the rental item, delays or defects in the rental item.</p>

<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">6 Use of the rental object</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Use of the rental equipment is at your own risk. The person using the equipment must be over 18 years of age.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the equipment and accessories are used in such a way that they are not damaged or soiled inappropriately. The Hirer is responsible for the proper and safe use of the equipment. The Hirer shall facilitate the correct use of the Equipment by providing user manuals, instructions and safety procedures with the Tool and/or on the Hirer's website. It is the customer's responsibility to familiarise themselves with the lessor's usage and safety instructions before using the equipment.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">We recommend the use of protective equipment. You must also follow the appliance user manual and other instructions provided by your company.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">7 Accessories</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">As a rule, accessories must be purchased or rented separately when ordering the device and selected according to the task the renter wishes to perform on the site. The website also describes what is included with the rental item. In addition, safety equipment is required in a number of situations, which is offered on the website. Personal accessories (dust masks, etc.) or consumables that wear out (saw blades, etc.) are not rented. Section 12 Cancellation applies to accessories that are sold and not used.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">8 Rights and obligations of the hirer</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The renter must be at least 18 years old and is obliged to provide correct customer data when creating a user account in order to be able to book and rent on outzip.co.uk. Your Company will send messages to the email, address and telephone provided and such messages will be deemed received and valid when sent by us.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The user account is personal and if you suspect that others have access to your account, you are obliged to inform Your Company immediately. Outzip GmbH has the right to refuse, cancel or suspend the user account without notice and without liability, even if a breach of the terms and conditions is detected.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">In addition, these rental conditions must be accepted before booking on the website.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The renter must return the rental item before the agreed date and time and on the agreed delivery note. The renter is obliged to adhere to the normal opening hours of the service centre.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The hirer or cardholder authorises Outzip GmbH to issue credit card orders, inter alia, for rental items not returned, soiled beyond the normal extent or in the event of damage to the rental item. The authorisation thus granted also includes the authorisation to charge the payment card for additional rent/compensation claims if the rental item is returned after the agreed rental period has expired or with faults or defects.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">If the return of the tool is delayed by more than one hour in relation to the agreed hire period, the hirer is entitled to an additional day's hire and a surcharge of currently NOK 300 to cover the additional costs incurred by your company for late return. If the rental item is not returned after one day, Outzip GmbH is entitled to reimbursement of the agreed daily rate as long as the tool has actually been used and not returned by the hirer.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">9 Modification of the order</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">In order to change an order, Outzip GmbH must be contacted. The changes are only valid once they have been confirmed by us in writing. This is to ensure that the rental objects are actually available. Unless otherwise agreed and confirmed, the rental property must be returned at the agreed time. The rental period can be extended before the start of the rental period and/or during the rental period by changing the start or end of the rental period.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">In the event of changes and cancellations of rental properties that lead to a change in the availability of the rental properties for other users, a change fee may be charged to cover the costs of the rebooking. The amendment fee is currently <span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOK 300</span>. All costs will be communicated to the tenant before an order is placed or changed.</p>

<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">10 Delivery and return</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Delivery and return shall take place in the manner, at the place and at the time specified in the order confirmation. You will also find this on your site. We are responsible for the products until they are taken over by you, i.e. when you have taken possession of the products. To receive the rental item, you will need your booking number. The name you enter in the booking number must match the name on the ID card at the time of collection.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">If the delivery of the rental item(s) is delayed, we will inform you as soon as we are aware of this and let you know if and when the delivery can take place, or if the product(s) is/are sold out or the rental item(s) is/are not available.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">You are responsible for the product until it is returned to us or our service centres.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">We will check the condition and function of the rental item(s) and that all parts are present when it arrives at our service centre. If the product is returned in full condition and in accordance with the contract, the reservation of the deposit on the payment card will be cancelled.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">11 Membership</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Membership entitles you to discounted prices and other membership benefits. Members can be both private individuals and companies, but the person who signs up is legally responsible and the contractual partner.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Membership is automatically renewed until cancelled by the renter. It is cancelled on the account page by stopping the subscription. The membership will then expire at the end of the current period and will then be cancelled.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">12 Right of cancellation for purchases</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The right of cancellation gives you the right to cancel your purchases. The right of cancellation applies to purchased goods and not to rented items. The right of cancellation requires that you inform us within 14 days of receipt of the delivery (see Cancellation Act https://lovdata.no/dokument/NL/lov/2014-06-20-27).</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">To exercise the right of cancellation, the goods must be returned to us in approximately the same quantity and in the same condition in which you received them. If you try out, use or examine the product in a way (opening the packaging, etc.) that goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and function of the product and this leads to a reduction in value, we may deduct an amount corresponding to the reduction in value from the purchase price to be refunded. For example, if you try on a dust mask, saw with a saw blade or drill a hole with a drill, the cancellation does not apply.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The product must be returned to us in its original packaging and within a reasonable period of time together with a cancellation form. The easiest way is to return the item in the same packaging in which you returned the hire item. You will then not incur any costs. Fill in the cancellation form and put it in the box. If you wish to return the item by post or other means, you are responsible for this until we have received the item. You must provide suitable packaging yourself and contact us before despatch.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">13 Intellectual property rights</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">The content and the service are protected by copyright. The image material stored on the website was created with the authorisation of the copyright holder. Videos on YouTube are links to third-party services over which Outzip GmbH has no influence.</p>

<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Outzip GmbH processes your personal data in a secure data register in order to fulfil its obligations and protect its rights under the rental agreement. The personal data processed are name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and order history. This history will remain stored for accounting and other obligations. All stored information can be viewed in "My Account". The renter has the right to have their personal data removed from the lessor's systems by contacting Outzip GmbH in person.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Your payment card will be stored for as long as you have an active order. The payment card is stored by our payment processor DIBS. This stores the information in a secure manner. Storing payment cards makes shopping even easier. You can delete payment cards on your website. Outzip GmbH does not store any credit card data itself.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Outzip GmbH uses cookies, like most other online shops. Cookies store data in your browser so that the website can recognise you from page to page and from visit to visit. This allows us to recognise who you are so that you receive correct prices and can log in more easily, among other things. We also collect usage data to improve the quality of our services.</p>

<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">15 Governing law</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law. The agreed place of jurisdiction is Oslo District Court.</p>
<h2 style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">16 Changes</h2>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">Outzip GmbH reserves the right to amend or replace these terms and conditions at any time. The current terms and conditions are always available at outzip.com. If Outzip GmbH believes that the changes to the terms and conditions are significant in relation to the rights or obligations of the tenant, the changes will be made available on outzip.com 30 days before they come into effect.</p>
<p style="font-family: inherit; color: inherit;">By using the Service after the changes to the Terms have been made available on outzip.com, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms, you must not use Your Company.</p>
