<h3>Kai Meier - Co-Founder / CEO</h3>
<p>My passion for adventure began in my childhood. Whether it was traveling along the coasts of Europe in a camper van during summer holidays or cycling along the Weser River at the age of 12, I always felt most at home outdoors in nature. After finishing school, I traveled for a year, explored the world, and learned to surf and dive. However, I often lacked the resources to try new things.</p>
<p>After graduating, I worked for a cargo bike rental company in Berlin. This experience inspired me to develop a similar concept for outdoor equipment. Together with Eloy, who shared a similar vision, we founded Outzip.</p>

<p>My focus is on outdoor sports such as surfing, snowboarding, climbing, and hiking. With experience in IT and audiovisual projects, I have managed corporate events worldwide. My passion for sustainability is evident in projects such as setting up a sustainable concept shop and supporting circular initiatives.</p>
<p>Founding my first company, a D2C marketplace for sustainable outdoor brands, marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. At Outzip, I combine my adventurous spirit, IT expertise, and building skills to lead the outdoor industry in circular retail.</p>

In fact, simple and logical practices like renting bicycles, equipment, or tools &ndash; as well as circular approaches such as reusable milk bottles &ndash; have largely been forgotten or fallen into disuse. This shift is the result of a capitalist, linear, and profit-driven mindset that has shaped recent generations, making them among the most polluting and disconnected from nature.</p>

However, misuse or significant damage will incur a charge of 50% of the item&rsquo;s current market value.</li> <li>In case of total loss or theft, you will be charged 100% of the product's current market value. In theft cases, you must provide proof that the product was in use or secured (e.g., police report, photos).</li> </ul> <h2>6. Cleaning Policy</h2> <p>Standard cleaning is included. Items returned with excessive dirt or improper packaging may incur a &euro;10 extra cleaning fee.</p> <h2>7. Liability Disclaimer</h2> <p>Outzip UG is not liable for personal or third-party damage caused by incorrect use of rental items, unless in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Outzip UG.</p> <h2>8. <h3>Privacy Policy Statement Outzip wants you as a user to feel confident that we protect your privacy and handle all personal data in accordance with the law.</h3>
<h2>1. Personal Data</h2>
<p>To use the online booking service, you must provide your name, address, phone number, and email address. To register an order, information about the rental period and the type of reserved/ordered equipment must also be stored. There is an age limit of 18 years for using the service, so you must also provide your year of birth. Your order history will be stored when using the service. This personal data is used to provide the service to you. This personal data is stored as long as you are registered with us as a user. The personal data we have registered is accessible in your profile and can be modified. You may also contact us to request the deletion of your personal data or to deregister from our systems. In this case, you will no longer be able to use the service unless you register again.</p>
<h2>2. Personal Information to Third Parties</h2>
<p>Outzip will not sell, trade, or share your personal data. Online bookings are processed through a system provided by Outzip UG. We use the following third-party services to process your data:</p>

<li>Mailchimp for email communication and marketing: This may include the use of your phone number, for example, to send you relevant messages, provided you have given your phone number and consented to this use.</li>
<li>Stripe for payment processing: Your payment information (e.g., credit card details) is securely processed by Stripe. We do not store full card data.</li>
<li>Google Tag Manager for managing website tags and tracking technologies.</li>
<li>Google Analytics for analyzing website visits and user behavior.</li>

<h2>3. Payment Information</h2>
<p>When you place an order, your card information is stored by the payment provider XYZ to process your order. XYZ stores the information securely and responsibly. This allows us to process order changes, release holds such as deposits, refunds, additional charges incurred by the user (for late returns, damages, or similar), and reduce misuse and loss. The transaction data related to your order is stored, but not the card data. The transaction data is stored as long as you are registered as a user of the service, see the section on personal data.</p>
<h2>4. Use of Collected Information</h2>
<p>The personal data collected for these purposes includes both information you provide yourself (name, email address, etc.) and information collected through your use of the service, such as the equipment you rented, information about your location, and technical information about your device and internet connection. The personal data may be supplemented with available information from third-party providers.</p>

<p>When you visit our service, we use various technologies to recognize you as a user and collect data. For example, we use cookies to remember rental dates and equipment.
